A deep space audio transmission featuring Jay Z and Busta Rhymes.

This piece was created for the Forever Now Project along with other curated digital works that were transmitted by Deep Space Communication in Florida, on January 2015. At February 2016 the transmitted data is about 4 million light years away from Earth.

The piece juggles the rhythms of 3 hearts, and swings them together into a loose fitted beat: mother, father and child: Willoh, James and Equa.

The heart beats were recorded and re-played through an Arturia synth, synchronised with drum samples.

Low Bass – James heart rate (60-120 bpm)

The Bell is Willoh’s heart rate (80-160 bpm)

and the Beat and High Synth hit is Equa’s heart rate which was and is much faster than ours.
